Calgary, AB—Velocity Werx Ltd. We are very fortunate to have the support of community members and businesses to help us provide a high level of care to our animals. Every dollar helps to support the animals under our care work towards finding their forever homes.” Perraton will also donate 1% of his time to his local community centre, Bearspaw Glendale Community Associations.
Dawn Fisher, Manager of On-Demand Admin at Velocity, will give 1% of her billable revenue profits and time to Mama’s for Mama’s, a charitable organization that supports mothers in crisis, and provides ongoing support to low-income Mamas and their kids. As other people join Velocity they will be asked what non-profit organization(s) they wish to support going forward. Fisher said, "It is completely up to them, and what they are passionate about, where they want their 1% + 1% + 1% to go towards".
Perraton said, “We joined the movement because not only do we believe that giving back to local communities is the right thing to do, it is also good business.” Fifty-nine percent of people are more likely to buy a product or service associated with a corporate-nonprofit partnership.
